Fan daily maintenance

Nov 18, 2022|

Correct maintenance and maintenance is an important guarantee for the safe and reliable operation of the fan and the improvement of the service life of the fan. Therefore, when using the fan, it must be given full attention.

1. Impeller maintenance:

At the initial stage of impeller operation and during all regular inspections, whenever possible, the impeller must be inspected for cracks, wear, dust accumulation and other defects.

As long as possible, the impeller must be kept clean, and the dust and rust on it must be regularly brushed off with a wire brush, because as the running time increases, these dusts cannot evenly adhere to the impeller. The balance of the impeller is damaged, causing the rotor to vibrate.

As long as the impeller has been repaired, it needs to be rebalanced. If possible, a portable test dynamic balancer can be used to balance on site. Before performing dynamic balancing, it is necessary to check whether all set bolts are tight. Because the impeller has been running unbalanced for some time, these bolts may have come loose.

2. Bearing maintenance:

Always check the oil supply of the bearing lubricating oil. If there is oil leakage in the box, you can tighten the bolts of the end cover a little. If this is not enough, you may have to replace it with a new sealing packing.

When the lubricating oil of the bearing is used normally, it should be replaced at least once within half a year. When it is used for the first time, it should be carried out after about 200 hours of operation. The second oil change time should be carried out in 1 to 2 months. If the lubricating oil has not deteriorated, the oil change can be extended to once every 2 to 4 months. When replacing, the lubricating oil of the specified brand must be used (as specified on the general drawing), and the old oil in the oil tank must be completely drained and cleaned. Only then can new oil be poured in.

If you want to replace the fan bearing, you should pay attention to the following:

Before installing new bearings, the bearings and bearing housings must be thoroughly cleaned. Heat the bearing in oil at a temperature of about 70-80°C and then install it on the shaft. Do not forcibly assemble it to avoid damage to the shaft.

Maintenance of other supporting equipment:

For the maintenance of various supporting equipment including motors, electric actuators, instruments, meters, etc., please refer to their respective instruction manuals for details. These instruction manuals are provided by each supporting manufacturer, and the manufacturer provides these manuals to users in random boxes.
